Harvest Treats & Trucks
The City of Garfield Heights thanks all who supported the 1st Harvest Treats and Trucks event held Saturday, October 23 at the Civic Center Complex. Everyone enjoyed seeing the children in their costumes as they visited decorated stations for candy, pumpkins, apples, balloons and other treats. Families had the opportunity to be “up close and personal” with a variety of vehicles used for various city services. Mother Nature offered sunshine for the outdoor event, which was appreciated by all! Prizes, donated by local businesses, were raffled and awarded during a children’s costume contest.
The event was made possible through the sponsorship of NOPEC, the Garfield Heights Historical Society, Cuyahoga County Garfield Heights Library Branch, AFSCME Local 2729, Paul Birk, Chipotle, Ward 2 Councilman Chuck Donahue, Giant Eagle, The Gilbert Family, the Garfield Heights Kiwanis Club, Tony Lovano, Rich Matey, McDonald’s, Mr. Hero, Subway Turney Town, and OHM Advisors. The city of Garfield Heights is grateful to the volunteers who helped make the event such a huge success.
