Rubbish Pick-up | Trees and Leaves
Services include Weekly rubbish pick up, Leaf pick-up, Sanitary sewer cleaning, Snow removal and various other services.
Weekly rubbish pick-up is provided through our City contractor, J&J Refuse. You may contact J&J Refuse Customer Server at 1-800-201-0005 or our Service Garage at 216-475-1107 if you have questions. Rubbish will not be picked up on New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If the holiday fall on a weekday the rubbish will be collected one day later. If the holiday falls on the weekend there will be no change in the schedule.
Recyclables such as glass, plastic and aluminum items are to be placed in blue bags. Newspapers are to be placed in brown bags. The company will accept all furniture and appliances for pick up. Please remove the door on any refrigerator or freezer unit.
Partially filled paint cans must be filled with kitty litter, shredded newspaper or soil to absorb the liquid. Leave the lid off and put the cans in an open cardboard box. The lids may be thrown into a plastic bag.
Wood or branches must be put into bundles that do not weight more than 35 lbs. each and have been tied with ropes and twine. They must be 4' lengths.
Rubbish may not be placed out until 6:00 p.m. the day before your scheduled pick up but not later than 7:00 a.m. on your pick up day.
Tree service is provided for any tree lawn tree that has been damaged by a storm or accident and those needing trimming or removal. Stump grinding is provided for trees that have been removed by the City crew.
Leaves are collected for several weeks in a row during the fall season. They must be raked to the edge of the curb. Do not place leaves in the street.
