Council


Garfield Heights City Council has regular meetings the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at the Civic Center.

A council caucus session is held at 6:30 p.m. before each meeting. Council may schedule additional meetings to handle city business matters with 24 hours notice to the public.

During the summer months, council sessions are reduced to one meeting per month.

2012 Holiday Lighting Contest Winners Recognized

The winners of the 2012 Holiday Lighting Contest were recognized during the Jan. 28 Garfield Heights City Council meeting. Each winner received a plaque engraved with their name and address. Nominations were made throughout the city and the addresses were judged by a three-person committee.

 The 2012 winners included:

Ward One, Erma Sparks and Family, 4704 Hillside Avenue
Ward Two, Bob and Lisa Stemnock, 5026 Edgepark Drive
Ward Three, Cleston and Linda Hensley, 4620 Burleigh Road
Ward Four, Ethel and Rick Balint, 9812 Park Heights Avenue
Ward Five, Debbie Carr, 12006 Tonsing Drive
Ward Six, Jared and Vickie Glena, 5359 E. 135th Street
Ward Seven, Tracy Andrewson and Tony Perez, 12319 Havana Road.
Ward Two winners Bob and Lisa Stemnock also received the citywide award.
